Widzew Łódź is changing its transfer plans, opting for Karol Świderski over Afimico Pululu. According to information from Tomasz Włodarczyk of Meczyki.pl, the club from Łódź is close to an agreement with Panathinaikos Athens regarding the transfer of Świderski, which is expected to cost around one million euros. The signing of the 51-time Polish international would generate significant interest and would be a major reinforcement for the team. Świderski, with experience in MLS, Greece, and Serie A, is a player who can bring a lot to Widzew.

According to reports, Świderski has already settled the terms of his contract with Widzew and is determined to return to Poland. Previously, it seemed that Pululu was at the forefront of transfer plans, but now the situation has changed. Roman Kołtoń emphasizes that Widzew Łódź is very close to finalizing the transfer of Świderski, which means the club may be stepping back from Pululu, who has multiple offers from various leagues, including Poland and Turkey.

Widzew Łódź now needs to negotiate with Panathinaikos, as Świderski still has a valid contract. Although Pululu was considered as an alternative, it appears that the club is focusing on a more experienced striker. It is worth noting that Świderski has been on Widzew's radar for several months, and now that the situation has picked up pace, fans can look forward to his transfer.

Additionally, Widzew Łódź is also considering other options, including Kamil Jakubczyk from Arka Gdynia, but negotiations in this matter are still ongoing. Jakubczyk is interested in the transfer, but Arka is not willing to let him go cheaply. Recent reports suggest that his price may exceed one million euros, which could pose a challenge for Widzew regarding their transfer budget.
