Michał Rydz was the president of Widzew Łódź since May 23, 2023. He came in place of Mateusz Dróżdż and stayed in the position for over three years. However, he was removed on June 3, 2026. The club announced that the president's duties will be temporarily taken over by the club's owner, Robert Dobrzycki. - Michał was an important part of Widzew in recent years and played a significant role in the club's development. I thank him for his engagement, work, and responsibility he took on every day - said Dobrzycki. Rydz was associated with Widzew since 2021. Before becoming the club's president, he was the vice-president for sales, marketing, and communication. Dobrzycki will take over as president until a new one is appointed. However, no date was given for when this will happen.
